Bonny B and Ice and Bob Stroger Blues (Suisse/USA/Cambodge)
Bonny B is an artist and showman, a born communicator who captivates his audience with his music and sunny personality, his voice, his timbre, and his incredible talent. But Bonny B is also his Jukes: Ice B's Fender, a guitar played by a discreet, almost self-effacing guitarist who masters his strings to perfection, strings that are the conduit for his emotions. Bonny B prides himself on having a positive Blues; he sings of love, joy, smiles, and inner warmth. For this concert, he will be accompanied by the renowned bassist Bob Stoger. Born in Hayti, Missouri in 1930, Stoger moved with his family to Chicago at the age of 16 and immediately fell in love with the blues! Today, still touring even at the age of 95, he reaps the rewards of decades spent laying the foundations for countless blues bands. No artist has ever been inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame at such an advanced age. He also received the Blues Music Award in 2024 as an instrumentalist – bassist, marking his fifth time receiving this distinction. Stroger played in several small blues, R&B, and jazz groups in Chicago before becoming a prominent figure on the international blues scene, notably through his work with Otis Rush. An evening that promises to be exceptional, offering Blues to cure your Blues.
